Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is a 2010 first-person shooter title developed by DICE. It was published by Electronic Arts.

Whilst the game is renowned primarily for its online component, Bad Company 2 features a story-driven singleplayer narrative where the player assumes control of Preston Marlowe; a soldier within "Bad Company".

Retaining a similar playstyle to later Battlefield titles, Bad Company 2 allows for vehicle based combat in both single and multiplayer modes, with sprawling open maps being offered in the game's online aspect.

Rumoured Sequel

Since Bad Company 2's resounding success, selling as many as 12 million copies, rumours started circulating suggesting Battlefield: Bad Company 3 could exist - this has been reinforced by EA executives' established reluctance to deny the prospect of a third game; even sometimes hinting at development.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is the only Battlefield game that remains available for purchase on Steam - this comes after Battlefield 2's removal in June 2014, warranted after multiplayer server closure.
